Just that ... check the engine ... this warning light has many purposes, and sometimes it's a simple as an engine misfire occurring only once in a thousand miles perhaps. However, when this lamp illuminates, it's always best to check all your fluid levels, hoses, belts and exhaust systems. To casually ignore this lamp is inviting disaster later one and really really higher repair bills.
