Say you got in trouble by your teacher and she tells you to go to detention , show a 'spunky' attitude and laugh about it.That my friend is being 'flippant'.You are not caring about what happens.Beleive me teachers always say you are being 'flippant' in your report cards because you are not trying to cry about it and make people notice you.
