You should probably ask your doctor if he believes that's a significant medical issue, and if so what he thinks it might indicate. If he's close enough that he thinks he should be able to feel your left ovary, he's close enough to talk to.

If you're right handed it's because the left bit of your brain (the one that controls the right side of your body) is dominating over the right (left side control) side, therefore the right side of your body dominates. If you're not right handed, then I have no clue why, since I'm not a doctor or anything.
