Depends on what those " couple word answers " are.
It doesn't mean bad or good. This may be the way she communicates. She may talk to a lot of people so texts might be her way of getting to people in a timely manner. If you are a expressive person this may unnerve you but realize real conversations are said over the phone but truly face to face. Use texts as a way to catch up quickly not for heartfelt emotional conversations. Good luck.
