This sounds like infection. When healing, their blood will not clot like a humans does. This sounds like a wound was not taken care of and is now pussing. Non toxic, and non scented petroleum jelly is a great way to help the spread of infection. A trip to the vet may have to be arranged.

Assuming you mean gecko, its a lizard. Google them, there is the Leopard Gecko, Crested Gecko, and the Gargoyle Gecko, just to get you started
