It means that one of the head/tail lights is not working.
That comes on when one of the external bulbs is not working properly.

One or more headlight/taillight bulbs are inoperative.
you cann't just turn it off, it's telling you you have a lamp out. check the lamps to see where it's at. Do you have the HID aftermarket lights?
ii don't see any screws to take the lense cover off that's why i am asking The bolts are located inside the corners of the bed. Open the tailgate and look there.
One or more of the tail lights, head lights, or brake lights is out.
If you are talking about the tail light the lens is not a separate part of the lamp assy. Replace the complete assy by removing the two screws on the outside and unpluging the lamp socket.
Lower the tailgate. Remove the two screws on the inside to the side of the lamp assembly with an torx wrench. The tail lamp assembly will pop out. Remove the four screws on the backside of the tail lamp with a Phillips head screwdriver. You now have access to the bulbs.
It's just behind the front hood grill. Face the front of your truck and lift the hood to get it out of the way. My 2004 Ram 1500 sensor is about 5 inches to the left (towards the middle of the truck) of the clear plastic lens of the drivers side head lamp. It sort of looks like an upside down plastic spark plug with one medium blue wire and one light blue wire attached. It's attached to the waffle shaped plastic bracket that holds the head lamp assembly.
The lamp out indicator, on your Dodge Ram pickup truck, suggests a headlight is not functioning properly. It can also refer to a turn signal.
I had the same problem with this and with mine I found out the curcuit board on the back of the taillight needed to be replaced. If you have a late model get it checked out.
