out of fuel, bad alternator/battery, mechanical frailer. need more info., does it crank? fuel level? any lights on dash board when car shut off?
I'd check your alternator. Disconnecting the positive terminal while the engine is running will tell you. If the engine dies when you disconnect the battery, it's your alternator. If it keeps running it's something else, like your battery. I had the same problem.
You might also want to check the tightness of your accessory drive belt. Also, your alternator might be failing. Have a mechanic, or a well equipped auto parts store (NAPA?) check the output of your alternator. As far as battery connections are concerned, loosen them up and make sure the contacts are clean and non-corroded, then re-install the cables.
Be sure the battery connections are clean and tight.
Battery is dead, because of a bad alternator.
