What does it mean when you spotting 2 weeks before your period come down and also have had a tubal ligation 8 years ago?

I am not a medical professional, but I have been dealing with many challenges with my own experiences being a woman and I have had a lot of extra information from my friends, my daughter, her friends, close relatives, theInternet and some health magazines. I believe that the spotting is when you are ovulating and the ova (egg) is matured and broken free of it's casing in your ovary, to begin the trip down your fallopian tube. Since your tubes have been tied so long ago you may want to have your Gynaecologist do a scan - Not sure if it would be an Ultrasound or an MRI - to see if everything is still okay.
