Liberals work towards changing the ways that things have always been done to more progressive and/or fitting ways of doing things that follow their beliefs. The liberal tag has been attached to politicians, parties, and other social activities where there is a division of opinion.
Liberals are for Reform. They are mostly democrats.
Conservatists are their main opposition and are almost universally against reform
You might be a liberal (like me) if you support:
Cap and trade
Stimulus Bill
Health care Reform and the Public option
Don't believe in Racial profiling
Believe the troops should be better armed
Would rather have power in the govenment than the people
Believe that people should be free to practice any religion without discrimination

I agree with the above comments, but the rest should be added!
Cap and trade increases our dependence on forgeign oil and raises taxes on the poor. (Really how so?) It restrict exploration and adds taxes to the oil pumped here!
The Stimulus bill increased dbt and added zero jobs. Inflation will cause serious increase in debt.
The health Care Reform will hurt 280 million's insurance and leave 30 million still uninsured. It will cost over 1.2 trillion according to the Democratic party. It will ration health for all. (Actually the health care bill prevents private companies from rationing and economists say it will lower costs, this will remain the job of the Government. For example breast exams will not be allowed before age 50)
ONLY the Conservative movement believes in better armed soldiers. It was the left that voted down increases in military spending. (Really? Why did the bush administration get rid not allow are troops to get the superior Dragon Armor even though tests had shown them to be better?) Because Bush was too Liberal.
Conservatives believe in limited Government and more individual freedom.
Liberals do not believe you should be able to even pray in a public building. They are against any religious freedom'
Liberals support the following:
Modern liberalism advocates for an expanded state funded safety net but a decrease in state power over personal decisions. This means that they advocate for a change in the focus of state power as opposed to a general limitation.
"Lefty" is a colloquial term used to refer to someone who is left-handed, meaning they primarily use their left hand for tasks like writing or eating. It can also be used more broadly to describe someone who leans more liberal or progressive in their political beliefs.
Classical liberalism emphasizes limited government intervention in individuals' lives and the economy, prioritizing individual freedom and private property rights. Modern liberalism, also known as progressivism, supports government intervention to address social and economic inequalities, promoting social welfare programs and regulations to protect workers and consumers.
