VCM - Vietnam Campaign Medal. Means you served in a capacity which supported the Vietnam Campaign, either directly or indirectly.
VSM - Vietnam Service Medal. Served in Vietnam.
PH - Purple Heart. Received a combat-related wound/injury.
1 OS - Received one Overseas Service bar. Overseas Service bars are awarded every six months one spends in an overseas operational environment. So it was a short tour in Vietnam, and I'm guessing the short length of the tour had something to do with that Purple Heart.
