i got a inflatable spear that was made in china. when i was inflating it all of this nasty smelling air got in my lungs. I think it was lead paint. Lead paint smells like those cheap toys that you can get at the dollar store. The plastic they use contains lead which gives it that "new plastic smell." Answer: You can not tell if a paint, wet or dried, contains lead by smelling it. You have to test the paint with a lead paint test swab available at most paint or hardware stores.
Some people say meth has no smell. When smoked (burned), however, it smells very chemical-ish to me. Maybe like paint or some other strong chemical. You cannot smell it on a user however, like you can, say, with marijuana or cigarettes.

You can use an onion to remove the smell from spoiled paint. In the room or area where the bad smell is lingering, peel an onion and cut it in half. Place on a plate and leave it there for a couple of days.
