Isaiah 53: 1-6 talks about how Jesus was beaten and then hung on the cross. It says specifically "He was wounded for our transgressions",. Also in Psalms chapter 23, it talks about how to deal with the loss of a loved one it says "Yea though i walk through the valley of the shadow of death i will fear no evil, for thou art with me".
Christians were told to expect trials in this satanic world(1 John 5:19). In fact, all those desiring to live with godly devotion in association with Christ Jesus WILL be persecuted, (2 Timothy 3:12) but we should consider it all JOY when we:
-meet with trials,
-overcome them with the help of God's word and spirit, and in so doing
-build our faith and endurance.(James 1:2-4) (1 Peter 1:6-7) (Revelation 2:10)(Matthew 5:10-12; 10:16-22; 24:9, 10, 39; Mark 13:9, 12, 13)(Romans 5:3)
Because it is "the one who has endured to the end" who will be saved (Matthew 24:13) we know we can count on God's help in dealing with any sort of trial, so when faced with trials and problems, we must throw our burden upon God, and he will sustain us (Psalms 55:22; 1Peter 5:6, 7). If we look to God for help, not losing faith but trusting completely in him, he will make the way out so that we are able to faithfully endure whatever trial comes our way.(1Corinthians 10:13; 2Corinthians 4:9).
As Jesus' perfect example shows (Hebrews 12:2, 3; 1Peter 2:19-24), we must not give up(Galatians 6:9), but trust in God to help us, and keep our Christian hope firmly in our heart and mind. No matter what we suffer in this world, it's as nothing when compared to the wonderful promise of everlasting life in paradise(2Corinthians 4:16-18)(Romans 8:18-22)(John 3:16)(Revelation 21:4).
physical or psychological pain and distress.Difficulties prove our faith (1 Pet. 1: 6, 7). Enduring trials produces humility and patience (2 Cor. 12: 7, 10; Rom. 5: 3). The scriptures address what the conduct of the Christian should be while enduring trials. There is to be rejoicing, praying, singing, and working (James. 1: 2; Acts 16: 25; 1 Pet. 4: 19).
