I own a 2003 Dodge grand caravan. the check engine light has come on twice. The first time is was a bad fuel hose in the engine which was very expensive to fix. the second time it was the air conditioning compressor that had blown up this too was a very expensive repair, I have since gotten rid of the van 2003 dodge vans have several recalls and problems. Oh I almost forgot, the transmission went out at only 30,000 miles, even with my warranty I had to pay 1500 dollars. My advice is buy a Ford or chevy.
Check engine light, see related question below.
The only proper way is with a scan tool.
Transmission, maybe. Check engine light
go to autozone to ask to check your codes
It would be very rare for a P1684 code to turn the light on.
try disconnecting battery for 15 minutes
Have a look at this link: http://www.wikihow.com/Replace-a-Tail-Light-on-a-Dodge-Grand-Caravan
That is the check engine light.
after the 96 model year dodge quit using them
It might be that your pcv valve is plugged or the egr valve is sticking.
You can disconnect the neg. battery cable but you also reset everything radio, clock etc.
