Eliyahu (אליהו in Hebrew) means the Lord is my God.

Elohim refers to God most of the times it is used, but is not His true name, since in occasional verses it refers to angels, mighty ones, or judges.

Yahu is the name of God, slightly abbreviated (God's full name is never used in naming people). In Hebrew, God's full name is spelled יהוה which was revealed to Moses in Exodus 3:14.

Yahu in the name Eliyahu is spelled יהו, so you can see how one Hebrew letter from His name is left off.

Exodus 3:14 "Thus shall you say to the children of Israel, אהיה has sent me to you. And Elohim said also to Moses, thus shall you say to the children of Israel: יהוה, the God of your fathers; the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob has sent me to you. This is My name forever and this is My memorial unto all generations."
