There are MANY verses in the Holy Quran about the sun, this verse is only one example on them & it talks about the sunlight:

"هو الذي جعل الشمس ضياء و القمر نورا وقدره منازل لتعلموا عدد السنين و الحساب ما خلق الله ذلك الا بالحق يفصل الايات لقوم يعلمون"

" It is He Who made the sun to be a shining glory and the moon to be a light (of beauty), and measured out stages for her; that ye might know the number of years and the count (of time). Nowise did Allah create this but in truth and righteousness. (Thus) doth He explain His Signs in detail, for those who understand. "

Holy Quran, (10:5),Yunus (Jonah).

What is miraculous in this verse is the scientific fact that the sun is shining by itself ( A source of light) which comes from the Arabic word ضياء, while the moon is not shining by itself but by the reflected light on it (which comes from the Arabic word نور ). The word "ضياء" which is used for the sun & the word "نور" which is used for the moon assures that.

This is one of the scientific miracles of Quran. It shows that the sun light is originated from the sun itself but the moon light is not and comes from outside the moon. This scientific fact had been proved only recently while the Quran was revealed in the period from 610 AD through the year 632. These scientific miracle of Quran are strong proofs that Quran is real God words revealed to prophet Muhammad (PBUH) by God through the Angel Gabriel (Jibril) and not a human text authored by Muhammad or somebody else.
