yes, but schools can take away some of your rights

HI, I'm Anton, just to clarify that... minors (under 18 years of age) have constitutional rights... with some exceptions, such as drugs and alcohol... but schools CAN take away some of your rights... however the banning of those rights ONLY applies to school hours or "official" school activities (after-school, weekend activities pertaining to school).

I am 14 years old and i am in 8th grade... i study the constitution and it comes up ALOT in my arguments... earlier this year I took the bus after school to another town where my mom works... then we drive home... while on the bus last year a former 8th grader showed some "naughty" pictures from an internet capable mobile device and this year they decided to ban all electronics... they would not give us a reason... and I argued against that and I talked to the faculty who then told me not to talk about it with other people... I told them "I signed no contract, I know that I am in school but I have my rights, at this school (to be un-named) according to the "book of rules" there is no rule AGAINST free speech and speaking out against a rule. so I will keep on talking and you cannot tell me "not to talk about a certain subject, any subject"... that's my story... questions, email me at anton20@mac.com... tell me your thoughts, email me... would you have done the same thing? email me...

-Anton.
