Read your owner's manual. The ets is the traction control, and the light means it is turned off.
Enhanced traction control used the ABS system improve your vehicles traction by slowing an individual wheel down ( slipping wheel will spin ) thus applying more power to the one with better grip and the speed sensors monitor all four wheels to make sure that one is not spinning much faster than the rest.
Normally the (Electronic Traction Control) ETS light is on when the ETS is turned off. Make sure the ETS is on and not off when driving at all times winter or summer.
Probably because you have the ETS turned off.
Check that your air sensor is plugged in/connected to where it should be - this is the most common reason for ETS light coming on
ETS stands for (Electronic Traction System) or as some call it Traction Control. Your Traction Control is simply turned off.
If these two lights come on together then the extra traction sensor is broken and needs to be replaced when the sensor is fixed the check engine light will go off and the ets light will work properly again.
ETS is connected to your ABS. ETS is a traction control and is linked to your ABS so to get your ETS light off you'll probably have to fix your ABS to get the light off. On mine, fixing a broken wire on my ABS plug which runs into the hub fixed my problem.

When there is a failure that sets the check engine light, the vehicle responds by going into a limp mode. This means traction control and ETS are automatically turned off for safety and to prevent further problems with the vehicle.
