It shows that his religion "Islam" is the last religion and the people who came after the advent of Islam will be accounted in the day of Judgment only in relation to the Islamic teachings and guidance; also, it shows that Mohamed (peace be upon him) is the best of the sons of Adam; also, it indicates that Islam and it's scripture supercedes all priveous religions e.g. Judaism, Christianity etc; also, it shows that those who claim to follow Moses, Ibaraham, Jacob, Jesus etc showld follow Islam same as their great prophets who approved the leadership of Mohamed (peace be upon him) in the prayers. Please feel free to address any furthr questions With my best regards

How might religious believers show their beliefs?

Okay from an Islamic point of view, they pray to God, they follow his orders, they fast Ramadan, they hold their patience when they are angry because GOD told us to do so. They take care of his holy book and memorize it, they say zikr, they thank God, they follow both his words and Prophet Muhammad's words that God has sent him to tell us. And most of all they believe that there is only one God and Prophet Muhammad is our Prophet or the Prophet of Islam

Was prophet mohammeds parents were Muslims?

Yes ---Parents of Muhammad (saww) and Ali (as) were Muslims. It is written in QuranQuran Yusufali 2:128] "Our Lord! make of us Muslims, bowing to Thy (Will), and of our progeny a people Muslim, bowing to Thy (will); and show us our place for the celebration of (due) rites; and turn unto us (in Mercy); for Thou art the Oft-Returning, Most Merciful.Quran Yusufali 2:129] "Our Lord! send amongst them a Messenger of their own, who shall rehearse Thy Signs to them and instruct them in scripture and wisdom, and sanctify them: For Thou art the Exalted in Might, the wise."This means that parents of Muhammad(saww) and Ali (as) were Muslims.I checked that all tribes of Mecca had Idols in Khana Kabba before accepting Islam but Bani Hashim DID NOT have any idol. Here Allah confirms the above Dua of Abraham (as)Quran 62:2] It is He Who has sent amongst an UMI messenger from among themselves, to rehearse to them His Signs, to sanctify them, and to instruct them in Scripture and Wisdom,- although they had been, before, in manifest error;-Prophet Muhammad's father died before birth of prophet Muhammad (PBUH). Accordingly, Prophet Muhammad's father died before the prophesy of prophet Muhammad and before God revelation of Quran to Prophet Muhammad (PBUH). However, his father was believing in God (Allah). His father name is Abdullah which is an Arabic name that means 'slave of Allah (God)'.The mother of prophet Muhammad died before revelation of Quran by God to prophet Muhammad and, accordingly, before Prophet Muhammad started calling people for Islam religion. However, she was believing in Allah (God name in Arabic)

Why did the Muslims respect Jews and Christians?

All human beings are the off-spring of Hazrat Adam (AS), and the creation of Almighty God. The Muslims are commanded by Allah Almighty and the Last Prophet Hazrat Muhammad (May peace be upon him) to be kind, helpful and merciful to all humans. They are supposed not to hurt the feelings of others. The Muslims show respect to the cultures of all nations and the followers of all religions, especially the Christians and the Jews because they also believe in One God, angels, Prophets, and the Day of Judgment as do the Muslims. the Muslims also have faith in the Prophet-hood of all Prophets (may peace be upon them all). That is why they respect Chritmas and Jews.
