It could be the Tw sensor , or ur fuel enjactor dirty
mine did that. it was a sympton of an ignition problem which was solved by replacing the entire distributor.
The distributor gear might wear out in an older vehicle that has high mileage, just because of wear and tear on the parts. A newer vehicle with less than 70,000 miles should not have the distributor gear wearing out. If this is the case, an electrical problem could have caused this to malfunction.
Problem with the distributor engine tuning not constant after replacing new contact either engine will run low or higher that it will vibrate especially aircon on. Any recommendation to replace it with electronic distributor which can fit my Toyota ee90 engine?..
This problem is due to a weak igniter circuit within the distributor and was solved by replacing the distributor.
I don't know what your specific problem is, but there is no distributor cap.
I had a similar problem with my Mazda 626. The car will completely stall while driving and can not be started again except after few minutes. It turned out to be my distributor electronic ignition component gets overheated and stop functioning. When it cools off it starts again. Replacing the distributor solve the problem.
The distributor bearing failing on Nissan's is a common problem and may be related to your problem. Check to see if there is any play in the distributor shaft.
POSSIBILITIES: Faulty spark plug - faulty ignition wire - distributor rotor needs replacing - distributor needs replacing. The most common cause of multiple misfires on the B20 / P75 engine used in the 1999 CRV is valve recession. this is a well documented problem on these engines. Repair usually requires replacement of the head.
Possibly the O2 sensors need replacing. There's one in each exhaust manifold.
this is a common problem on these cars.....the distributor is likely the problem.
the car will most likely not start
The year and/or accumulated mileage of the CR-V is not given in the question - SO - Possibilities are: spark plugs need changing - distributor needs work - fuel filter is clogged - fuel pump needs replacing. These are all pretty basic if one or more of these in combination is not the problem you will need to have it put on a computer diagnosis readout to see what kind of OBD codes show up.
