April 21,1836 General Houston and The Texans defeat General Santa Anna and The Mexicans under General Santa Anna and he is defeated and captured

and he has been stopped by The Texans

Santa Anna is sent back to Mexico and the Mexican government refuses to recongize Texas as a independent republic and Santa Anna had no authorization to grant Texas independence as the president of the republic of Mexico and is removed as the president of Mexico
