Exercise can help build the muscle in your butt, but you need to remember things like squats and lunges will not help you make your butt bigger.

Any lunge will develop and tone the muscles of the butt and thigh. I love this exercise as it also develops the core muscles and the smaller stabalizing muscles that are often neglected. If you want to increase the muscle mass, you may need to add weights to your lunge exercise to increase the stressors on the muscle (that's what will build it). Be sure to eat well too though or you won't give your body what it needs to build strong muscles quickly. Finally, if you can do it, do your lunges without support from a wall or weight machine as this increases the work on all those stabalizing muscles I was talking about. exercise. if you join a gym, squats are probably the best exercise for your butt. even running will help you tone it up a bit
Depends if your butt is fat or muscle-if its fat-then aerobic exercise along with low fat diet will reduce size. If muscle-avoid those muscle building exercises that focus on buttocks-ie cycling, stairmaster etc-opt for running, treadmill,rowers,etc

I've heard that fish oil works but maybe it's just one of those myths. Do walking lunges; with weights, squats, quadruped hip extensions (with weights) and just generally exercises with your butt wih resistance-the resistance helps build the muscles mass of your butt; maiking it bigger. And firmer and sexier. =]
