The Ford filter number is Motorcraft FL-400S. It is highly recommended that you stay away from FRAM Oil filters because of their poor construction and lack of quality control.
Recommended filters for the Vulcan engine:
-Mobil 1 M1-209
-Motorcraft FL-400S
-Purolator PureONE PL20195
-Wix #51516
You can run any good 5w-30 Conventional or Synthetic Oil. Synthetic blends are considered a waste of money because there is no regulation on how much synthetic lubricant is required for it to be called a "Synthetic Blend". You're best bet is to just run a good quality oil and change it every 3,000 miles. Do not worry about changing weights every winter or summer. (5w is the number you should worry about this is the "Cold" weight. The 30 or 20 specifies the "hot" weight.) In places that see frequent temperatures below 20 degrees, You should try a 0w-30 oil. The Vulcan engine thrives on 5w-30 year-round. If your vehicle specifies 5w-20, it is recommended you follow the listed viscosity in order to prevent issues with warranty.
You can run synthetic without voiding warranty.
What is the firing order for 1995 Ford Aerostar 30L and direction of rotation on distributor?"
As far as I can tell, there is no EGR valve on 1993 Ford Aerostar 3.0L engines. I have searched and found none and the vacuum hose routing decal in the engine compartment does not show an EGR valve.
Yes you can but it would be adviseable to have a filter, deep substrate and cover glass too.
it's a 30l, with a dual over head cam...
According to the 2000 Mercury Sable Owner Guide : For the 3.0 litre " Vulcan " and " Duratec " V6 engines ( " regular " unleaded gasoline , 87 octane )
yes 2002 and later 30L are the only ones not equipped with an egr valve
1-4-2-5-3-6 Distributor rotates clockwise.
There is 2 filters. CAUTION!!! Gas line is highly pressurized. One filter is under tank at bottom exit, other filter is under hood. GOOD LUCK!
there should be a clamp right behind the distributor. it will be hard to get to because it is in a hole
5/6 of 30L is 25L
the simplest answer is that when you purchase the after market "cold air intake" there will be instructions with it. If you intend to make one your self then I would suggest just taking everything out and, get a cone style K&N air filter or, something comparable to attach directly to the throttle body.
If you can bring a military tactical 30L backpack to school will depend upon the school you are going to. Many schools are now requiring students to wear only clear backpacks, so this backpack would not be allowed.
