Provided you have a combined heater/thermostat, thermometer, and filter and the tank is set up with substrate, plants and lights, you could have fish from many species in your little aquarium. Many small Tetras come to mind as do several small Gouramies, small Danios and even some of the small Cichlids like Rams. The rule to remember is 1" of fish needs 1 gallon of water so that you don't overstock and have disease and other problems.

∙ 13y agoThere's not an awful lot suitable for a 10g, it's a very small tank! Avoid common large fish like Goldfish, they are far too big and messy for such a small volume!
Stick to relatively inactive fish (avoid very active fish like Danios) that get no larger than 2" as adult! Small shoaling fish such as Ember Tetras, Spotted Rasboras and Endler Livebearers are good for a 10g. Sparkling and Honey Gouramis are also ideal. Do a lot of research, especially on the nitrogen cycle, before you go about stocking this tank. Tanks this small are a lot harder to care for than larger ones!
