The type should be written on the dipstick. There are two types and they are NOT interchangeable. If you can't find it then go to a dealer, they will tell you. If it is a FMX it uses type F an it is still available. Castrol for one still has it. How do I know, I have a FMX in my XR-7 and just purchased a case of twelve. Do not substitute anything else because you will be in for increased wear and a hotter transmission.
