Muslim Answer
We are not allowed to eat/drink:
1-Alcohol.
2-Blood.
3-Humans.
4-Animals that die of natural causes [I believe dead fish are okay].
5-Most meat-eating land-animals [dogs, wolves, lions].
However, if it is a matter of life and death, it is forgiven.
Jews also do not eat 2-5 and have the forgiveness permission as well in addition to other rules as explained below.
Jewish Answer
Below are the mitzvot from the Torah. In actual practice, religious Jews only eat kosher-certified food, which takes into account these Torah-commands as well as further details not listed here. Here are the core aspects of keeping kosher:
1. Land animals have to chew their cud and have split hooves (Deuteronomy ch.14). Even then, the animal has to be slaughtered in a traditional way, which minimizes pain.
2. Fish have to have scales and fins (ibid).
3. Birds can't be amongst the list of those forbidden in the Torah (ibid) and they can't be hunters/scavengers.
4. Dairy and meat cannot be combined in any way and cannot be eaten at the same meal. Chicken and other birds are considered meat for this purpose; fish are not.
5. Consumption of blood is forbidden. For this reason, animals must be drained of all blood and the meat salted to draw out as much blood as possible.
Pork.
The Muslims have their own way of slaughtering animals for food. Where that is not available, they may eat kosher food. They may eat Halal food cooked by the Jews and the Christians.
Jews and Muslims if Halal meat is not available
The Muslims rule for food are (halal & haram)
They can't eat any animals with claws, pork, animals that died of natural causes, animals that weren't killed by Christians, Jews, or other Muslims. Also, as a Jew eats food that is kosher, Muslims eat food that is Halal. They also cannot drink alcohol.
Muslims have to eat Halal food, i.e. meat that is permitted and which has been sacrificed in the Islamic way. Just like the Jews and Christians, pork is not permitted as mentioned in the Holy Scriptures and the Quran.
Both, but the foods that they eat do not need to be fried and/or cold to be consumed.
