Usually people serve yams, cranberry sauce, stuffing, etc. Many women also use the Christmas season to bake candies and other "goodies" that they don't bake any other time of the year. For many families, this is one of the treasured traditions.

∙ 13y agoTotally depends on the family, but many eat turkey or roast. Some families have a big breakfast on that day since they get up so early to open presents.
Kids also eat candy, nuts, and Oranges from their stockings, and candy canes and Hot Chocolate are popular treats. A few drink hot apple cider. Eggnog is a traditional favorite, but it is also a big ordering Pizza day for some people as well... so it just depends. There's usually a different menu than just any old day. Christmas is a big dessert holiday, so there's dozens of pies and other treats (especially cookies).

For dessert, they have pumpkin pie, mince pie, fruit cake and various other desserts. Homemade candies and cookies are often part of the holiday celebration.
