When you resort to these types of diets, you risk compromising nutritional status of your body. For example, bones need calcium, your brain needs a steady supply of simple carbohydrates for its best performance and your blood needs iron. It is better to eat two or three meals a day. If you want to reduce your intake, eat smaller meals. Eating this type of diet will help you get much needed nutrients.
