∙ 14y agoNow I am thinking in terms of living in the country.....beans, potatoes, hogs they killed, beef they killed, fish they caught, canned meat,they canned, vegetables in season and canned, dumplings, chicken, rabbits, squirrel, gravy made with water or milk, mush, biscuits, homemade breads, cake, pie (if had sugar), homemade butter, eggs, jams, jellies, cabbage, homemade sauerkraut, about what one would eat today only not fancy, just plain cooking.
