Because she is female, she would not belong to a fraternity-- those tend to be all male. It's a "sorority" that female students would join. But interestingly, she does have some involvement with a fraternity-- as an adviser. Michelle Obama is a member, and thus a brother, of the Alpha Phi Omega National Service Fraternity, Inc; she served as an adviser to their rechartering effort at the University of Chicago in 1996.

∙ 11y agoFirst, it should be noted that Michelle Obama is an honorary member of Alpha Kappa Alpha, a historically black sorority. As for Barack Obama, back when he was a senator, he was made an honorary member of Alpha Nu Omega fraternity, at Upper Iowa University, in late December 2007. Many internet sources refer to his being an honorary member of "several" fraternities, but I can only find documentation of this one.
