For starters the 1986 year model was a b2000(however unless Mazda made a late version of the 86 as a b2200 maybe possible) Anyway any b2200 engine Mazda made for the bseries that was fuel injected is compatible. You will have to have the ecm and wiring harness for the ecm from the fuel injected engine in order for it work. The b2200 was fuel injected after 1988 I believe and it was not on all the 1988 models they switched in mid production to this.I will not swear this to be exact with details but, generally the 1986-1993 models are interchangeable for the most part with pretty much the whole truck.Just note by changing to fuel injection is not a cost advantage in the long run.If you just need a engine, compare the cost to upgrade, time versus just doing a good rebuild (I would) not to mention switching harnesses, ecm, etc.If the engine needs a tear down I would suggest that, cheaper, less bs,and wiring nite mares hooking up.Just my take on the overall picture!
Who is a valve calibration for mazda b2200 1988
The Mazda B2200 truck body did not change much, if at all between 1986 and 1993. There should be no differences in the shape of the engine compartment. -Kyrasis6 Owner of Mazdatruckin.com
1,3,4,2 Number one is at timing cover closest to the distributor.
yes you can its a straight swap you don't even have to change engine mounts
mazda 2000 1986 have to hold key to on to keep running when starting
All the 1986-1993 mazda b series trucks were manufactured in japan.By the way great built trucks for that matter.
All 1986-1993 models have the same doors.
it will fit the b2200, b2000,b2600. I think 1987 to 1993.
While being you have diesel that is a 1986?I have nothing to support that book wise.Because Mazda only made a diesel version from 82-84 that was a 2200.While this may be b2200 the only thing I can tell you is most of Mazda's engine ohc,and the 82-84 yr models the engine was made by Mitsubishi, and the 86 gas engine b2000 Mitsubishi.I am not sure what it is you want to know?I realize Mazda may have offered diesel in the 1986 model and it is not listed in my chiltons or haynes that I can find.If you need to clarify just click on the discussion tab on this post to reply back.
Yes, a Mazda B2000 is most definitely a 4-cylinder with a 2.0L engine. However, technically Mazda didn't produce the B2000 as a 1988 model. It was made in 1986-1987. Then in 1989 Mazda made the B2200 Pickup, which is a 2.2L 4 cylinder.
The wiper motor is located on the right hand side of the fire wall in the engine compartment
I have an 89 Mazda b2200 and all i did was mess with the timing and it started to run better,a but a friend suggested that I pull the distributor shaft and turn it a notch.
