i put a 15 gallon Jeep cj5 tank uuder the bed of my 69 Ford truck, and used a jeep sending unit for it. works great, also its a 1985 model tank. i cut a hole in my bed floor to fill the tank up. alot of ppl put them there but its really ur choice. that gets the tank out of ur cab, and frees up alot of room behind ur seat. total cost was 150.00. that's all new parts though. u could go used and save ur self a little mony. hope this helps. lpaws45. email me at lpaw44@AOL.com for more info.

The fuel pump on a '93 ford ranger is located inside the fuel tank. It is eaisest to remove the bed of the truck to access the fuel pump. Access is on the top of the tank behind the cab of the truck. I prefer this to dropping the tank.
