That Saab is so old that it does not matter much, get the best (most expensive) that you can reasonably afford.
The motor and manual transmission should get a mineral 10W-40
An automatic transmission TEXAMATIC 9330
If you have a diferential: MULTIGEAR MTF 75W-80W
It is Attached to the oil filler cap
4.25 quarts (4 liters).
try taking off the oil filler cap at the top of the engine...on my '95 turbo 900s that's where it was, the oil stick was attached to the oil filler cap.
Have you opened the large oil filler cap at the top of the engine? Although I don't know about a 9 3, on my '95 turbo 900s that's where it was...built into the cap.
I used 5wXX, I think it was 5w20, with good results on mine. What4ever was listed in the owner's manual. I always changed the oil regularly, at between 3000 and 5000 miles, so used regular oil not synthetics.
Presuming you are asking about the 5-speed and not the automatic. It is on the bottom of the transmission, and is recessed. It requires a special tool.Later 900s did not have a drain plug for the transmission.
Medium grade
You can use 10W-30 weight motor oil in your Mitsubishi. A heavier motor oil can be used in extreme climates.
Motor oils come in different grades. The higher the grade, the better quality the motor oil. Some high end vehicles require better quality motor oil to run at their utmost. Otherwise, any grade will do.
because a Saab has cam pistons , so your Saab is a 2.5 liter v6.it runs at a low rpm because you probably need to change the MOTOR OIL. people have been asking me that!!!
the oil pump is on the front of the motor you have to take off the crank pully it is behind it there are two gears that you will need to replace
5W30.
