During World War 2, they targeted the people of the Jewish religion.
It is hard to convince people that the failures of any given society are a reflection of their failures as a collective. It is much easier to fault minorities and other groups for being a "thorn" in the side of the proper and correct people. Additionally, Hitler targeted many of his political rivals to avoid having to fight for reelection.
During World War 2 and before it, certain groups and types of people hated or disliked Hitler. They are:Non Aryan GermansJewsGypsiesHomosexualsMentally and Physically disabled peopleCathelicsSlavsCommunistsOther Political PartiesAnti-Nazi Groups like White Rose GroupSocial "misfits"SovietsFreemasonsMost of these people were specially targeted by the Nazis during the Holocaust. The reason why Adolf Hitler hated these kinds of people can be debated but it's commonly agreed that the reason why Hitler started to hate these groups was how he was raised in Austria and noticed that mainy Jews in Austrian-Hungarian Empire and in Germany were quite wealthy whiles others were suffering in Poverty. This then increased after World War I aka the Great War due to Hyperinflation, Great Depression and the Treaty of Versailles. Also, as Hitler rise to power in late 1920's and early 30's, certain groups like Anti-Nazi Groups, Communists and Other Political Groups started to dislike Hitler due to his "radical" and "insane" ideas.Another words, the reason why Hitler hated these groups of people was because either:They seem to be easily targetsOpposed Hitler and the Nazi PartyHe thought that they made Germany "Inferior" and disgraced the "Fatherland"Didn't fit with the Nazi Ideology "Aryan Race"
The "Final Solution" was genocide, mass murder of an entire people.
Hitler did kill more Jewish people than any other group. There were other groups who were also targeted such as Romanies (Roma people), communists and disabled and mentally handicapped children, although they were not killed in such large numbers as the Jews.Hitler killed the Jews because........well no one knows because these webites wont tell you why!!one if the reasons was because his mom died of cancer and her doctor was Jewish.

Other groups targeted by the Nazis for destruction included the Romani people, the disabled, political dissidents, homosexuals, and Slavic peoples. These groups were persecuted and murdered as part of the Nazis' efforts to create a "pure" Aryan society.
Hitler targeted those other people because he didn't think they were pure.

Hitler wanted pure-blooded Germans, who he incorrectly termed as Aryans. He did not want any other race or ethnicity to be part of Germany. His hatred was strongest toward Jews, but he also targeted Romani, Slavs, certain groups of Christians such as Jehovah's Witnesses, political opponents, and the handicapped (both physically and mentally handicapped).
