Plymouth was discontinued by the parent firm, Chrysler, some years ago. a good number of dealers had to be re-branded. In the seventies, when this sort of thing was inconceivable, there was a popular radio commercial ( Chrysler-Plymouth, coming through!) and this applied to dealers of both brands. Dodge is still in the Chrysler stable, as is the Jeep.
