Which coupling gives high gain in case of amplifier?

no.transformer coupling gives higher gain

What are the disadvantages of using common emitter amplifier?

Disadvantages of CE amplifier:1. It has a high output resistance.2. It responds poorly to high frequencies.3. It has high thermal instabilities.4. It's voltage gain is very unstable.

Why CB amplifier preferred for high frequency than CE amplifier?

1)in cc configuration we use to get the low output impedence where as in ce we use to get the high output impedence. 2)in cc amplifier we use to have the voltage gain equal to unity where as in ce amplifier we use to have the high voltage gain. 3)in cc amplifier there is high power gai which is used for impedence matching where as in ce amplifier due to the high voltage gain the impedence matching is less impossible.

What is the meaning of gain in an amplifier or operational amplifier. Is high gain or low gain is what we try to achieved?

There are many uses for amplifiers. Some try to achieve extremely high gain such as in a radio receiver. Many try to achieve no overall gain. Examples include mixers and filters. Some only try to achieve limited gain. Oscillators try to achieve zero gain at most frequencies but unity to very high gain at the frequency of oscillation depending on the output wave form required. Basically - everything in electronics is an amplifier. The absolute gain of am amplifier is the ratio of output signal to input signal. For voltage or current amplifiers this is usually expressed as field decibels which is 20 log (out/in). For power amplifiers the gain in decibels is 10 log (output power/input power). If the gain is less than one, the same rules apply but the decibels will turn out to be a negative quantity.

Common collector amplifier does not have voltage gain but still provide power gain?

It still has a current gain significantly high though the voltage gain is close to unity.

Why negative feedback is preferred in amplifier?

Because the feedback of an amplifier tends to reduce the gain of an amplifier and also, the bandwidth of feedback increases the gain of an amplifier, so in an high gain amplifier as to be stabilized. BY ENGINEER MUHAMMED OLALEYE OLUWATOSIN TELECOMMUNICATION STUDENT, RUFUS GIWA POLYTECHNIC, OWO

What type of microphone is the Studio Projects C1?

The Studio Projects C1 is a special type of microphone classified as a condenser microphone. It is a high quality microphone with a low amplifier, often used by singers and performers.

Why do amplifiers have high voltage gain?

If you got a microphone that converts soft acoustic waves to audio voltage, the low output must be amplified. For that purpose it is good to have an amplifier with high voltage gain. The same is needed for the output of your CD player before it goes to the power amp. Scroll down to related links and look at "Amplification". Many amplifiers do not need high voltage gain. The final output stage of a good power amplifier usually has high current gain but very low voltage gain. Amplifiers are also used as mixers and filters where there is no voltage gain.

Why gain is fall at high frequency in r-c coupled amplifier?

The gain of an r-c coupled amplifier falls at high frequency because the capacitive reactance of the capacitor tends to zero.

Why common emitter is considered as best?

b'cose the gain of the amplifier is high ..

Why does a CE amplifier have a high gain?

GAIN is a function of load current but basically a small current in the base will make a big change of collector current therefore making a transistor a voltage amplifier as opposed to a current amplifier

What is a common base NPN amplifier?

A common base NPN amplifier is used for high frequency applications as the base minimize oscillations at high frequency, separates the input and output. In a common base NPN amplifier the voltage gain is high, relatively low input impedance and high output impedance compared to the common collector.
