Let the cake cool and then turn it out of the tin.
If just the top of the cake is burnt then slice it off with a bread knife and discard it. If the whole cake is burnt right through then you'll have to throw the whole cake away or feed it to birds or animals - put it in the compost.
A good portion of the cake may taste and smell okay but it may now be rather dry - no problem.
Turn it into a trifle by slicing it, laying the slices in a dish, sprinkling them with juice or alcohol and then adding layers of fruit, custard and whipped cream.
Serve it as a dessert with ice-cream and Hot Chocolate sauce.
Cut the whole cake into slices and layer it with icing or with whipped cream.
Crumb the cake in the food processor and keep the crumbs in the freezer to add bake into cookies, crumbles, granolas etc. Use them with melted butter to make cheesecake bases.
You should assess why the cake burned: did you forget it? Was the oven too hot? Did you set the right temperature and place the cake on the middle shelf of the oven? Is the oven working properly? Did you use a larger, flatter tin than the recipe called for? Did you include all the ingredients and in the correct proportions?
Not usually. The only ingredient that would "burn off" would be alcohol, and only trace amounts of it will. Most stay in the cake.
MY CAKES WILL BURN!
put it on a fire
Oven too hot. Cake in oven too long
The cake will end up CRAZY.
Always cook a cake on the middle rack, whether the oven is on fan forced or not, otherwise you'll burn the top.
if your are wanting during the pilgrims: no Because they would not have a way to cook the cake beside an open fire which would burn the cake. otherwise I don't know
Well when you burn it you get ash. When you cook it all the impurities get removed and it turns into caramel.
A cake can only cook if it is in an oven. And a thicker cake would take longer to cook than the thin cake would.
burn and taste nasty Well i love experimenting cakes with my best friend, and without butter it goes quite doughy and doesn't cook properly. Or instead it does cook really well, and turns out NOT burnt but rock solid.
They will cook a little, but not that much.
It wont cook right either its still raw (probably from adding to much egg)
The same temperature as a single batch; it will take longer to cook. Make sure to keep an eye on it so it doesn't burn :)
You use a spatula or spoon then go in circles around the bowl or pan.
Yes it can
It shouldn't, no.
