Nothing will "happen", per say. You will just feel less pressure as your stomach expands.
loosen the bolt in the center of the drive belt pulley, then loosen the bolt on the side of the pulley. as you loosen the side bolt the tension lets up
FIRST YOU LOOSEN THE BOLT FOR THE ALTENATOR WHICH WILL FREE UP THE BELT CLOSEST TO THE FRONT OF THE CAR. TO REMOVE THE SECOND BELT, THERE IS A BELT TIGHTENING WHEEL THAT YOU NEED TO LOOSEN PUSH DOWN OUT OF THE WAY. THEN THERE IS A LARGE, SOMETIMES SILVER PULLEY THAT YOU HAVE TO LOOSEN AND PULL UP TO REMOVE THE SECOND BELT. THEN DO ALL OF THIS IN REVERSE TO PUT IT ALL BACK TOGETHER.
loosen bolt at center of tensioner pulley slightly, locate Phillips screw directly behind pulley facing up and turn counter clockwise to release tension on belt.
There are two bolts to loosen, one at the top of the alternator and a smaller one underneath on a bracket. Loosen these and push the whole unit down this will loosen the belt so it can be replaced then use a lever to pull up the unit while tightening the bolts
Spray the belt with belt dressing, tighten it up, or buy a new belt.
loosen up the pump put a pry bar under it and lift up, then tighten the bolts up
Drive the vehicle up on a ramp and look up from undeneath the car. There is a tension adjuster to the belt there. Loosen and remove old belt, replace and readjust for tension.
Loosen the belt tensioner. The belt should not be tight at all.
belt it with a slege hammer to see if that will loosen it up failing that it needs to be heated with a torch, to burn the rust then hit with a hammer to loosen
You have to loosen the power steering pump bolts and push down on the pump and the belt will loosen to take it off, to put it back on you route the belt over the pulleys and pull up on the steering pump and when tight tighten the pump bolts and your done.
To change belt?Use a 1/2 inch breaker bar and pull to relieve tension
Loosen up the power steering pump and pull on pump till belt is tight.
