low sulphur diesel will have no effect whatever. new lubricants have been added to fuel to compensate for the reduction of the sulphur
The best diesel engine technology among these is CRDI.
Diesel direct injection system is the latest technology in diesel engine. In this technology multi step injection is done due to this technology engine produce less noise & less vibration.
What happens is you must remove the petrol immediately. Petrol or gasoline will destroy a diesel engine.
If gasoline is used in a diesel it will damage the engine. If diesel is used in a gasoline engine it will do no real damage as the engine will not run.
Higher sulphur diesel will not harm the engine but it will to the enviroment. Actually CDI engine runs fine with Euro 2M diesel, however the exhaust filter must be cleaned or replaced after some period of time.
You'll ruin the engine.
Diesel fuel is the only diesel fuel. Either Low Sulphur or Ultra Low Sulphur, depending on the emissions regulations of the country you're in. If your vehicle has an aftertreatment system, which can consist of just a DPF (Diesel Particulate Filter), or a DPF and SCR (Selective Catalytic Reduction) system which uses DEF (Diesel Exhaust Fluid), you can only run Ultra Low Sulphur Diesel in it, or you'll clog that DPF up within the hour, your engine will derate, and you won't be going anywhere.
diesel
Depends on which diesel engine, specifically. In a US EPA2010 or European Euro 5 or Euro 6 emissions compliant engine, no - these engines are designed for Ultra Low Sulphur Diesel specifically, and have a diesel particulate filter which will become clogged (thus clogging the exhaust system) if anything with a sulphur content higher than ULSD (which jet fuel does have) is used in the engine. For diesel engines which don't have these emissions and aftertreatment systems, yes - jet fuel is more or less a variant of number one low sulphur diesel, and diesel engines which are not made to be US EPA2010 or Euro5/6 compliant can run on diesel, kerosene, jet fuel.. even engine oil (although it would have to be thoroughly strained and pre-heated before introduction into the engine.. in fact, I know of an aggregate company which does this with their used oil to run their loaders and quarry equipment).
it behave like a fuel
I wouldn't use it. I have an '03 which was recalled for recalibration when the low-sulphur diesel was introduced. The computers and parts are so sensitive anymore, I wouldn't take the risk.
