WARNINGWARNING: Remove the excess oil and fill to the proper level. Running an engine with too much oil can cause serious damage, and is actually as bad as running it with too little oil.

The danger of running an engine with too much oil is that the crankshaft hits the oil beating air into the oil thus causing the oil to foam. Foamy oil has poor lubricating properties as it is oil and air mixed.

Just think of how an eggbeater works and you will get the idea.
