Fragmentation of files is common on a Window's hard drive, and running the defragging program will resolve this.
In the computer's HARD
They are called FRAGMENTED files
Go to the All Programs in the My computer section or toolbar then click on Accessories then System Tools then click on Disk Defragmenter. THis program is in every computer like Windows and Mac. This program will shrink files for more file capacity and remove fragmented files.
Contiguous files are files on your hard drive that are all in one place, and not split up ( fragmented ). Sometimes your computer can take one file, and split it into multiple locations on your disk. This is what Defragmenting does. It takes those fragmented files, and puts them together.
Files are stored on a computer in such a way as to become fragmented. On a new hard disc the files are store in continuous blocks. Over time files are deleted from the computer as the hard drive becomes fuller this leaves empty spaces. New files are added to these spaces as the hard drive looks for the first empty space to store new files. Over time the files may be too large to fit into that space so they are split and stored in 2 or more spaces. They thus become fragmented. When you defrag your computer the hard drive moves these files together thus eliminating the fragments. It is then easier for the hard drive to recover the files as they are in one place instead of being fragmented.
Part one. (optional) Go in my computer. then go in add or remove programs. remove programs you dont want. part 2: go to the start menu then all programs, accessories, system tools, and click defragmenter. defragment your computer. it wont destroy the fragmented files. it just fixes files, thats all. it will make the files contiguose. Fragmented files makes your computer Super slow.
Anywhere you save them.
A fragmented file is a file that has no purpose or meaning to the computer. So if you have installed a program and then uninstalled it.... many times the computer leaves files on the computer this is called a fragmented file.
Data and files
Usually all the files are stored in the Hard Disk of your Computer.
stored as mp3 and played using media player ;)
No. Emails are stored on a separate server. Files on your computer do not impact your email account, and unless you download them, messages in your email account do not affect the amount of space used on your computer.
