The generative nucleus divides mitotically to produce two sperm nuclei. One of those will fertilize the egg to produce the zygote, and the other will fuse with the two polar nuclei in the embryo sac to produce the endosperm in a process called "double fertilization".

It begins to Divide and Expand. The Generative Nucleus sould be understood as having an "egg" like quality similar to that of a plant, Animal, substance, radioisotope, etc...similar to fertilizing an egg. When an egg is fertilized it begins to divide and expand. Cell Division is really no more than a controlled explosion.

What process happens when pollen falls on a flowers pistil?

Pollination brings together the gametes of a flower and it occurs when a pollen grain of the right kind lands on the stigma of the pistil. Each pollen forms a tube that grows down through the pistil and reaches the ovule in the ovary. One of the nuclei in the pollen tube unites with the egg nucleus in the ovule to form a zygote. The other sperm nucleus combines with another bigger nucleus in the ovule which develops into the endosperm.

What is the process of pollination?

- some vector carry pollen from the anther of male to the stigma of female - the pollen grain contains 2 nuclei - the tube nucleus and the generative nucleus. The generative nucleus later becomes 2 sperm nuclei - the tube nucleus digests a tube down through the style to a small opening called the micropyle -the two sperm nuclei then enter the ovary: ~ one fertilizes the egg -- seed (2n) ~ the other sperm nucleus fertilized 2 polar bodies to create the endosperm -- (3n) - the endosperm encloses the seed, providing both nourishment and protection * This process is referred to as double fertilization because 2 sperm are required to fertilize both the egg and the endosperm.

When does pollination happens?

Cross pollination happens when the pollen of one flower is placed upon the stigma of another flower, whether of the same varietyor not.

What doese pollination mean?
