Car no go.
This is a common malfunction that happens when the vehicle gas tank runs out of fuel.
if its computer orientated i would disconect the battery for 20 minutes
Your fuel sending unit is not giving the correct reading to your gauge
its a transistor located behind the cluster panel.usually cost 45 dollars from nissan......symptons are usually empty fuel reading and temp reading are nil. If fuel gauge goes from empty to full can be ground wire problems.
If your battery was dead and you jumped it to get it started and the gauge shows your not charging you need to replace the alternator.
Happens to every one of these cars...question answered here http://wiki.answers.com/Q/What_is_the_easiest_way_to_reset_the_needles_on_the_fuel_and_temperature_gauges_on_a_1997_Buick_Park_Avenue
If it is in your car then no, why do you have a 6v battery in your car in the first place it should be a 12v.
Either the sensor is broken or Your gaug on the dash is not working.
you either have a diying battery or a ground short
Either your temperature gauge is reading too hot , your oil pressure is too low , or your gas gauge is at or near empty
There is none. But you can try disconnecting the wiring attached to the fuel sending unit and look at the fuel gauge. If it is giving you an empty reading, the fuel gauge is faulty and should be replaced.
check the alternator and battery.
