not that rare it depends are you short or tall lightning hits the tallest thing nearby but if you are hit by lightning that means you are the tallest thing in the area and most people are a little bit coo coo and they go hide under a tree witch they will most likly be shot by lightning . You wll get hit by lightning if you are the closest thing near by but that usually happens when you are in a open feild . Just for the tall people you may want to lay down flat when lightning is being seen .
