It is not advisable to take Adderall and caffiene together. It can cause a raise in blood pressure, hyperactivity, tremors, anxiety and restlessness. If you do use caffiene, keep it to a minimum.
Having said that, the other, more desirable effects can include an improvement in focus as well as energy. Assuming that you are taking adderall as medication, it should be avoided, however if you are using it to study it's not a terrible idea unless you suffer from Heart disease.

∙ 13y agoI recently took a small dosage of adderall and drank about three sips of a 5 hour energy drink. Early that day, I had a sugar-free red bull, about 3 hours before I took the adderall. No more than 10 minutes after taking the adderall, I felt dizzy and passed out for around 5 minutes. I woke up sweating, dizzy, nauseous, unaware of my surroundings, and with a rapid heart beat. I wouldn't mix adderall and caffeine...ever.

This question has two answers. Diet Coke has caffeine in it and caffeine works on the brain the same way Adderall works on the brain. Therefore, the initial effect of mixing the two may be to increase the effect of Adderall. However, caffeine is also a diuretic and diuretics have the effect of washing Adderall out of your system. Therefore, drinking any significant amount of diet coke will decrease, if not totally eliminate, the effect of Adderall.

Does caffeine negate the effects of Adderall?
No there is no caffeine in adderall. Adderall is composed of mixed amphetamine salts. However like caffeine, amphetamine is a stimulant and all stimulants increase the amount of the neurotransmitter dopamine in the brain, so in that sense they are similar. Adderall however is a much more powerful stimulant and also increases the amount of the neurotransmitter norephinehrine as well as dopamine. Adderal is much more powerful since it is an amphetamine called dextroamphetamine, but it has the psychological attitude of "on top of the world to extremely depressed" which has to do with the dopamine not being released naturally anymore. But it can go back to normal if enough time passes.

If you have ADHD it's far more likely that caffeine will help you focus and not make you tired. HOWEVER, drinking lots of caffeine will make you dehydrated which will definitely make you feel exhausted. Putting another stimulant into the mix may increase the dehydration, but you may not know until you try it. Personally, I can still have some caffeine with my Adderall, but I have to do so in moderation or the stimulant effect compounds to the point of overstimulation.
