Well you didn't tell what engine BUT its in the wrong place. start taking parts off until you find it . Hopefully its under the intake if we are talking about a v block engine. it MAY stay where it is but i doubt it. It will more than likely lock up your engine.

Actually if this happens something is wrong with your CD you need to replace it.
