I know just how you feel. In 7th grade I liked a guy in 8th grade. So you aren't allowed to date YET. That's perfectly okay, it just gives YOU time to make him like YOU. I never acted like I liked him, instead I did this. I would always help him out, and if we had the same interests on something, I'd talk about it to him. Trust me, just be yourself. And if he thinks you hate him, then you must have done something like told him that or hinted that to him unknowingly. Or he could JUST be messing with you. If the topic comes up, like him saying: "Oh yeah you hate me blah blah blah...." you can say something like "Hah, If I hated you, you would be in so much pain right now!" or "Where did you ever get the idea of me hating you?" or "Wow, you make me sound like a hater... Thanks a lot [afterwards you laugh to show him it's a joke]" Whichever suits your style or make up your own. Just hang out with him if you see him but don't HANG ON HIM.
