who does that? Have the transmission drained immediately Any other liquids will severely damage the transmission.
Drain & flush the system completely. Now add a 50/50 mix of antifreeze and distilled water until it is full. One gallon of antifreeze mixed with one gallon of distilled water should be more than enough.
More than likely it takes less than a gallon,...of antifreeze. It WILL hold more coolant than that however...remember it's a mixture....better still go to a mechanic and have him do a drain and fill.....that way you get it (the mix) right.
Just mix up a 50/50 mix of antifreeze and distilled water and fill it up. A 2 gallon mix is usually plenty for most engines but this is a V10 so you may need slightly more or you may not.
It would depend on the engine, transmission and rear differential ratio it has, need more info.
Purchase 1 gallon of antifreeze and 1 gallon of distilled water. Mix them together 50/50. This is more than enough to refill your system after a drain and flush with some left over.
My engine coolant is a 50 / 50 mix of antifreeze and distilled water so adding water will just dilute the mixture more and weaken the antifreeze so the coolant mixture will freeze at a warmer temperature and it will reduce the corrosion protection if there is not at least 40 % antifreeze
It would be more or less similar to driving a car in Europe today.
Antifreeze keeps your coolant from freezing. It keeps your coolant more "fluid".
More than likely the main cause is the transmission is slipping. This wouldn't happen while cold it may also be that the transmission needs fluid.
sounds like you have a cracked head
in 2009 the prices for gas, or petrol was from around $3 or $4, more or less. at one point the price rose to $5 a gallon, which was expected to happen at one point by many
The Imperial gallon is slightly more than a US gallon. One Imperial gallon is equal to 1.201 US gallons.
