First, let me assume that you caused the breakup! Let me further assume that your boyfriend is not leaving the country because he broke up with you! Let me also assume that he is not leaving the country not coming back for many years! If the above is the case then let him know that from your point of view, you allowed the breakup for a very poor reason. Furthermore explain how you should have handled the strife that apparently occured and give your reason for your change of heart.
