Cricketers are not well known to have a very good fitness level, though there are many exceptions. A good general fitness level is important to play cricket at the top level, particularly if you are a fast bowler. I would expect scores around 12 to be good for a cricketer

They do not affect it at all. They give an indication of your level of fitness.
