For one thing, Edward VI didn't change anything because he was a boy of 10 when he took the throne. He regents, the Earls of Sommerset and Norfolk respectively, handled any and all changes to policy. These men had effectively removed conservative influence from court and had garned enough support in the Privy Council to make changes that they desired. Both men were sympathizers to Reformed Prostestantism and installed some of the best minds in that area, Martin Bucer and John Knox to positions of power. Before Protestantism could become firmly entrenched, the young King died and was replaced by his infamous Catholic sister, Bloody Mary.
